Hey Matt, Let's say I am learning a trick or a kick. Now should I practice getting it really good on both sides, or should I just do the right side (i'm right handed) and get that side really good?

Thanks,
Scorpion

When doing basics you should have your kicks good on both sides. When you get to the more advance tricks you usually pick a side and stick with it. What I did was i drilled my advance tricks so much that they became basic to me so then I tried them on my left side.

Hey matt,

Just want to ask you, is there ever a time when you want to do a trick you can do, but cannot land it? Im at a point where i cant land any of my moves, and im able to do HEAPS for eg, round off double flash, double leg, jackknfie, 540, switch flash, btwist, switch loser to knee, and the basic stationary back flip and flash. I dont know ive just hit a slump and dropped down and feel like i cant do anything at the moment.

Is there ever a time you feel the same? and any tips on how to get back into it?

Thanks

When I can't hit a move or a bunch of tricks I will just not do them. Sometimes your not ready for a move.

I couldn't hit a 1080 for a while. So I didnt practice it at all. NOT AT ALL!! I worked my hook kick, spin hook kick, 360s and 720s. Then I tried it a few months later and got it!! Thats what I do for most of my tricks!
