Hi,

I was just wondering if it's possible to start competing, like NASKA circuits and other difficult ones when i haven't been doing martial arts since i was a baby. lol.. I am 16 and live in arizona. I got my 1st dan black belt in tae kwon do in may and i've won state in az a couple of times, but the MAARS circuit isn't exactly challenging like some of the others. I would really love to compete and travel all over like all of you do. I'm just wondering where do i start?

Thank's a lot!

I always tell every one to start competing locally. If you already do that and don’t find it challenging any more then I would recommend trying a tournament on the NASKA circuit. You can check out more info on the tournament schedule and rules at www.naska.com. I would go to a tournament on the world tour. If you like it then go to a few more tournaments.

Thanks

Thank you for the advice! i checked on naska.com and found a tournament in march. i'm kind of scared though, because the people who compete at tournaments like that are extremely good. do you have any tips on how to get to that level? i know practice a lot, but anything in particular that could help? thatks again!

ummm practice a lot!
watch a lot of videos
practice some more! lol

You have to go to big tournaments in order to get better. I got a lot better when I first started competing nationally.
